JOB time

So, I have been applying for positions for about 3 weeks now.  Some are out there (L&D), some are more within reach (float pool).  I am in the process of getting set up for an interview at Dameron for CCU or Tele, depending on what they think I am capable of.
My ultimate goal, of course, is L&D, but I truly don't think i want to start there.  It would be nice to have CCU background, then use that knowledge to transition into L&D and possibly high risk L&D.  I think high risk would be amazing....it would combine the the two things i love...the labor process and ICU pathophysiology.

I still have UCSF in my long term goal, and I have already paid an app fee to chamberlain to get an RN to BSN online.  i figure i will start that in september to give myself time to get into my job.  I'll cross my fingers that my work with pay for a portion.
I am signed up to do ACLS on June 4th and 5th, which i think will be a good way to refresh my ekg memory (i have been looking at strips, and I am actually surprised at how quickly it is  coming back).

I have a letter of reco from carla (OB), ana (PICU)  I have asked shelba and julie kay.

Any-who...I am much more open to things than I thought I'd be.  if we had been in a crazy shortage,  i know i would go straight to L&D, but i am excited to give CCU a chance.  who knows, it may be perfect for me!
